On October 25, Nanhai held the Shishan Town Supply‑Demand Matching Conference and Demonstration Project Signing Event under the regular service mechanism for the new energy storage industrial chain. Representatives of the top 100 major power‑consuming enterprises in Shishan Town, as well as investors, constructors, operators and energy storage system solution providers in the energy storage industry were invited to attend, facilitating efficient connection between suppliers and demanders.
As the Vice‑Chairman Unit of the Nanhai District New Energy Storage Industry Alliance and a signatory of the demonstration project, Guangdong Haina Tianguang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to the event.

New energy storage serves as a critical equipment foundation and core supporting technology for building a modern energy system and advancing green and low‑carbon energy transition under the “Dual Carbon” goals, boasting huge market potential and broad prospects.
To further boost the development of the new energy storage industry in Nanhai District, a signing ceremony for Nanhai’s energy storage demonstration projects was held during the conference. Among them is the distributed photovoltaic and energy storage project at Century Auto City, jointly developed by Guangdong Haina Tianguang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Foshan Shidai Century Automobile Industry Investment Co., Ltd.

Located at South China Century Auto City, West Haiba Road, Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, the project covers a roof area of approximately 20,716 square meters with an installed PV module capacity of about 3,152.1 kW. It will be built into a benchmark comprehensive energy service station integrating photovoltaic generation, energy storage and EV charging in Nanhai District.

“Serve enterprises, strengthen industries and expand undertakings,” said Zhang Jiayu, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Nanhai District Development and Reform Bureau. Nanhai is home to over 80,000 manufacturing enterprises, of which more than 7,000 are estimated to have demands for new energy storage, and over 200 industrial parks are suitable for energy storage stations, representing strong user‑side demand and abundant potential clients.
On the other hand, industrial energy consumption is massive with a prominent power supply gap. In 2022, Nanhai’s total annual industrial power consumption reached about 17,184 GWh, with the historical peak power shortage hitting 21.98%.
To help new energy storage enterprises tap into the Nanhai market and help existing industrial enterprises access more cost‑effective power solutions, it was disclosed at the conference that led by the District New Energy Storage Industry Alliance, targeted supply‑demand matching will be carried out in light of industrial characteristics and personalized needs of each town and sub‑district in the future.

Regular services for Nanhai’s new energy storage industrial chain have yielded initial results. Going forward, based on its industrial foundation, Nanhai will formulate a development plan for the new energy storage industry, identify key focuses and breakthrough points to ensure sound development of the sector.
Meanwhile, Nanhai will deepen forward‑looking industrial research, optimize the business environment and expand industrial scale. Specifically, it will give full play to the role of research institutions and enterprises as innovation drivers, make forward‑looking layout of diversified energy storage technologies, and promote the industrialization of new technologies in Nanhai. It will establish policies and market mechanisms compatible with the energy storage industry, continuously improve services, timely address difficulties in the implementation, construction and operation of existing projects, and precisely introduce supporting projects and key enterprises. This will ensure every new energy storage project introduced delivers success and drives industrial clusters, consolidate and expand the industrial foundation, and build Nanhai into a national hub for new energy storage and a demonstration zone for its application in the Guangdong‑Hong Kong‑Macao Greater Bay Area.
